At the conclusion of the Freedom School term, activists and students will organize a student-led conference the day after the funeral of James Chaney, one of the workers killed in the Mississippi civil rights workers murders, at Meridian Baptist Seminary.

Each Freedom School will send 3 representatives to the conference to form a youth platform for the Mississippi Freedom Democratic Party. The student delegates discuss issues related to jobs, schools, foreign affairs, and public accommodations and proffer recommendations for the state party.
